Remnant Trust Committee Collection

The Remnant Trust loaned 50 books dealing with the topics of liberty and dignity to South Dakota State University during the 2005 .Fall Semester. This collection is composed of publications created by the Remnant Trust, material related to a gala celebration opening the collection

Jackrabbit Athletics Records

South Dakota State University has been active in intercollegiate athletics since the 1920s. The university participated in Division II North Central conference until the start of the 2008-2009 academic year when the university became an active member of NCAA Division I. This collection is composed of material related to athletics at South Dakota State University. Included are files regarding administration, the Athletics Committee, publications, the Women’s Recreation Association, and files related to specific sports (e.g. baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, football, rodeo, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling)

Lonita Gustad Corothers Papers

Lonita Gustad Corothers was a student in the Division of Pharmacy at South Dakota State College starting in September of 1946 and graduating in the spring of 1950. Her graduating class was comprised of eight women and 56 men. Her minor was in chemistry. She began keeping a diary in 1945 when she was 17 years old and realized that she was living in momentous times. The collection is composed of her diaries from 1946 through 2010, excerpts from and a timeline index of the diaries, correspondence with Tom Corothers written primarily during their courtship, a grief notebook written after her husband died, and her original writings and poetry

Gamma Sigma Delta, also known as the Honor Society of Agriculture, is a professional agricultural fraternity. The South Dakota State University chapter of the society was established on May 27, 1958. Sherwood Berg was president of SDSU from 1975-1984. This collection consists of material related to the National Advisory Commission on Food and Fiber established by President Lyndon B. Johnson on November 4, 1965 on which Sherwood O. Berg served as chairperson
